People come from all-over Guatemala to the small mountain village of Zunil which is at the bottom of a steep-sided valley. You have to drive a long way downhill to get to this remote location which is at an elevation of about 8,000 feet! They come to visit the Idol San Simon, aka Maximon, and to beg his favors for help with their problems. People are lined up to the left waiting for their turn to talk to him. It was soooo ADDICTIVE!! Both my husband and I finished in 3 days, watching your Photo Album twice. We are the couple from Oregon who camped next to you at Birch Bay with our grand-kids.
